Summer exhibition KEIKOPPEN
Lucien De Gheus was a Belgian sculptor and ceramist. The mission of the Lucien De Gheus Foundation is to preserve and present his artistic legacy. For this summer’s exhibition, some 30 contemporary artists and designers enter into dialogue with his work under the title KEIKOPPEN, symbol of stubbornness and resilience. KEIKOPPEN invites you to rediscover the legacy of De Gheus from a contemporary perspective.

EN NU?!
EMERGENT is a platform for contemporary art, located in the partly 16th-century Huis De Valk at the centre of Veurne. KAOS (Brussels) develops projects with artists who may or may not have a mental vulnerability, and runs an artist’s residency in psychiatry. This summer, EMERGENT and KAOS join forces for a posthumous retrospective of the versatile artist Myriam Loyens, shown in dialogue with contemporary artists whose themes and formal language echo her own. Until her death in 2023, Myriam worked closely with KAOS. On the occasion of the exhibition, the book En nu!?! is being published, a richly illustrated overview of her artistic legacy.
