PIERRE BONVOISIN

In collaboration with Art et marges museum Brussels

Very little is known with certainty about the artist Pierre Bonvoisin. What we do know: he created a series of miniature sculptures made from chestnuts which he carved with ritual devotion. One horizontally placed chestnut forms a pedestal, upon which a second is carefully mounted. From this second nut, a human face is delicately carved with striking precision. Each piece is unique. The variations are subtle, yet distinct.
