Bart Janssen is a skilled illustrator whose humorous, often ambiguous works evoke emotion and wonder. His art carries a sense of nostalgia and expresses a yearning for another, parallel world. In his collages, he exclusively uses antique print material found in the abbey library where he works as a volunteer. Through an associative process, Bart merges his interests with sharp reflections, crafting compelling images that hold up both in form and content.
