For Carlo Buyck, drawing and painting are vital. Not only in the art studio, but also in his free time, he is constantly creating, everywhere and always. He collects images from magazines, studies them, and draws from observation. He works quickly and with confidence. In the studio, you can hear him chuckling as he works, out of sheer joy, but also because he fills his art with humour. Carlo doesn’t speak–he communicates through and with his work.
