Dustin Eckhardt is both observer and architect. He wanders through Frankfurt am Main and its surroundings, where he lives and works. Then, drawing from memory, he reconstructs these places on paper from a bird’s-eye view, rendering them as eerie, lifeless scenes. His use of simple means, such as coloured pencils, stands in stark contrast to the many levels of meaning of his observations.
