Unlimited Land, 2020

Mustafa Kör is a writer and poet. Born in Konya, Turkey, and raised in a Belgian mining family in Opgrimbie, he was left wheelchair-bound in 1998, following a car accident. He made his debut in 2007 with the acclaimed novel De lammeren(The Lambs). His first poetry collection, Ben jij liefde (Are You Love), published in 2016, received critical praise. He was nominated for the 2017 Poëziedebuutprijs aan Zee. In 2008, Kör was appointed as city poet of Genk. In 2022, he succeeded Carl Norac as Dichter des Vaderlands van België for a two-year term. In 2025, he releases Exit lichaam (Exit Body), an unflinching literary reflection on the brutal yet necessary shift in mindset when you can no longer live through your body, but solely through your mind.
