Myriam lived the life of an artist in the truest sense. Her artistic drive was deeply intertwined with her inner world, and her acute awareness of the complex reality around her. She experimented with various materials and techniques. Recurring motifs such as stones, tiny houses, trees, and broken human figures populate her work. Until her passing in 2023, Myriam worked closely with the Brussels-based arts platform KAOS.

From 29 June to 14 September 2025, Emergent hosts a retrospective of her work in Veurne. Her pieces are shown in dialogue with that of contemporary artists whose themes or formal language resonate with hers.
