In 2013, photographer Nicolas Clément worked as an artist in residence at La ” S “. There, he began working with Barbara Massart and decided to make a short film inspired by her textile sculptures and based on her dark, mysterious life story. Alongside the documentary, a series of photographs emerged. The project became known as Barbara dans les bois. It is a multi-layered portrait of a young woman wandering through a time and space that defy definition.
