La recherche du silence total is the deeply moving, cinematic life story of Shérazade Gharbi. It depicts a world full of questions and burdens–the life of a gifted artist caught within herself and her limitation. Shérezade plays herself in a life-size, hand-painted set. Video artist Ilke De Vries filmed eight scenes, each linking a specific emotional state to a location. The entire production is shaped by Shérazade’s work and visual language.
