Barbara Massart was born prematurely after her mother was involved in a traffic accident. She began life fighting to survive. After her parents divorced, she was placed in care, a decision that deeply upset her. She rebelled fiercely, creating hats to hide behind… until she discovered that La ” S ” Grand Atelier also collaborated with contemporary artists. That realisation marked a turning point. It freed her from her frustration and opened the door to her artistic development.
