Mission and Vision

mission

Wit.h and De Lovie vzw focus on independent art that does not allow itself to be dictated by the market or other external trends.

We are ethically, aesthetically and politically aligned with artists whom we refer to as Crip for activist reasons.

We therefore question and rethink the accessibility of the arts and want to make it more colourful.

We consciously choose to collaborate across the broad cultural field and across sectors.

Wit.h and De Lovie vzw are working towards an alternative future, a vital, social and inclusive society in which differences are an added value.

We are convinced that rethinking cultural assumptions about Crip and Art will benefit society.

That is why we strive for a culture of equality and respect for the individual artist, the Crip and anyone who identifies with this.

In line with this, Wit.h tries to assist presentation venues such as Kasteelpark De Lovie in including these artists in their programming in a participatory manner.

You can be Crip because of a disability, mental vulnerability or for any other reason. But you decide for yourself!

Crip is the proud nickname for anyone who deviates from “the normal”, “the appropriate”, “the recognisable”.
